about barbara I grew up in a suburb of Montreal, Canada and moved to the beautiful Canadian Rockies in my early twenties. This awakened a powerful passion for the mountain environment and I spent the next 8 years avidly backpacking and ski-touring and finding a deep connection to my spirit. This is where I learned that the journey is the destination. Then life took me to 9 acres of raw forest in the Selkirk Mountains of South Eastern BC and I began a 15 year journey of building a homestead and a family. Here I learned an appreciation for the land and all that it brings to us, and I learned to open my heart wide in the act of parenting. I also learned about generating electricity from a creek and how to turn subsoil into rich garden beds! The next stage of my journey took me into the field of understanding energy and how we are affected by that which is “unseen”. First and second degree Reiki training in the Usui method opened the door and led me to a further 15 years of training in a system of active meditation, Vibrational Psychology and energy healing. This unlocked the cellular memory of much knowledge and the ability to accurately read and bring healing to people on all levels: physical, emotional, mental and spiritual. In this next stage of life, I seek to make my gifts available to those who wish to journey with me, whether we go to the backcountry of the mountains, or trek the uncharted wilderness of the psyche, it is all a rich landscape full of gifts and wisdom and I am honoured to be your guide. |
